Now that we’re well into the fall season, you probably have your outerwear in heavy rotation. While I won’t delve into heavy fur coats just yet (winter is still a ways away), I couldn’t hold back sharing some of my favorite coat trends and classics this season. Starting with the viral Mango shearling coat I’m wearing here–you’d practically have to be living under a rock to not recognize this coat. It’s everywhereee! Last year it sold out immediately and you had to be quick to *add to cart* to score it. This year it comes in this gorgeous dark green and I must say I’ve had to resist the urge to buy it.

When it comes to outerwear, this shouldn’t be an impulse purchase–you want to pick ones that are versatile and can remain a go-to piece for several season to come. Some of favorite outerwear pieces to own include a good leather trench coat, a shearling jacket, a puffer coat, and a tailored wool coat. If you own these 4, I promise you don’t need to own another type of coat.
