Our Living Room

Hi, loves!

Mama. Fashion Enthuse. Business Woman. With a natural inclination for organization and an unwavering passion for attainable, effortless style, elevating the everyday brings a sense of wholeness to my life.

Meet Alexa

Our living is easily one of the most peaceful rooms in our house. If you follow me on Instagram (@nextwithlex_) you’ve probably seen bits and pieces of this room overtime. It’s finally almost complete – last things needed are sconces next to the tv and a large piece of art above the console table. I’m hoping to have that complete by Spring.

I know I’ve showed a lot of this already on stories, but I get a ton of questions about where our furniture, décor and rugs is from, so I’m going I’m linking everything here for you. I love how it all turned out – lots of neutrals and earth tones which ties in well with the rest of our home. So, if you’re curious how our living room turned out then keep scrolling…

Furniture

Our couch is Harmony Modular Sofa 92″ from West Elm. It’s one of their bestsellers and I completely see why. It’s really comfortable and has a soft lived in look to it. We chose the color ‘Alabaster’ which is a really pretty cool white. Also, the covers are removable and makes it convenient to clean.

Believe it or not, I never intended to keep these accent chairs from West Elm. Initially, I wanted to send them back because the color was different in person than I expected but I’m actually really happy I kept them. These chairs were the inspiration for the accent wall color which I am obsessed with!

Our coffee table is from CB2. It’s sold out but I found one similar here and here!

Next up, the rug which is also from West Elm. I love the abstract design and different neutral tones throughout. It definitely brings together all furniture pieces.

I stalked this media console table for the longest time. It’s so stunning! Since we have an open floor plan, I wanted to be sure all of the furniture and decor flowed cohesively. Our dining room table actually is the exact wood color and finish as our media console table which tie in perfectly together. I can also appreciate the extra storage. Perfect for an over flow of books, toys and everything in between.

Hands down this room needed a pop of greenery. I bought the fiddle leaf tree from Michaels and placed it in an extra large potter from West Elm to give it a more high-end look. This was such an easy, budget-friendly DIY project I did last summer and I love how it turned out. Check out how I did it here!

Drapery

We had custom drapery installed by The Shade Store. Since we have two-story ceilings, investing in motorized curtains for everyday convenience was a must-have and it was honestly the best decision! We plan to have our other window treatment motorized as well.

Paint

As for the accent wall, our goal was to pull together the entire room with a moody vibe. This color is called Slate Tile by Sherwin Williams. It turned out amazing and serves as the focal point in this room. Such a beautiful color and it gets so many compliments when guests are over.

I hope you found this post helpful!
