It’s hard to believe our son is ONE! As you can imagine, this day feels very surreal, emotional yet magical. Motherhood has been the most amazing, challenging, fun, exhausting and fulfilling experience. So it felt very appropriate to throw the cutest birthday party as a celebration to Deuce and myself. 😉

If you follow me on Instagram (@nextwithlex_) you may have seen Deuce dressed as an astronaut for Halloween 2021 – just a cutest costume ever! I loved it so much I thought it would be fun to throw an outer space “3, 2, ONE Blast Off” first birthday party. Through lots of Pinterest saves, I found space inspired balloons, a banner, and favor boxes to tie in the theme. I even did a few DIY projects myself: his party hat & jet pack chair decoration. As for entertainment for one year olds, we used our playpen, ball pit and picked up a bubble gun from Target. Major success with the kiddos who ran around and played their little hearts out.
