Since we’re at home now more than ever, I’ve been really dedicated to staying on top of my skincare routine. Over the past year, I have tested so many products to find what works best for my skin. Between my dermatologists’ recommendations and discovering gems on my own, I finally found my beloved skincare routine. When it comes to skincare products, I mix drugstore and splurge-worthy finds. These are products that I’ve scraped the edges of, yes it’s that serious. I believe strongly in both getting what I paid for and not wasting a thing. Let’s dive into why I love these so much!
Since I have sensitive skin, my face wash has to be gentle. I love Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost collection, especially the Hydrating Cleanser Gel. It doesn’t dry out my skin but rather leaves it feeling hydrated and clean. Also, it foams which I love! Just a personal preference. (Affordable $)
While roaming the aisles of Sephora one day, I discovered this amazing toner. I’ve been using the Peter Thomas Roth 8% glycolic solutions toner for over a year now and my skin is so even and my pores are much smaller. This stuff really works! (Semi-affordable $$)
One of my favorite skincare products that I’ve consistently used for about 2 years has been vitamin c serum. I started using Summer Fridays CC Me Serum about 3 months ago and it’s helped with my hyperpigmentation (I saw results within 2 weeks), brightened my skin and corrected dullness. You should try and apply your serums right after you wash your face on damp skin after you apply your toner. I use this in the daytime. (Semi-affordable $$)
Let’s talk about my HOLY GRAIL! The Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment is an absolute gem in my skincare routine. This product absorbs deep into your skin and really works hard to maximize its full potential. It plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles, helps clear dark spots, and exfoliates the dull surface of the skin. (Pricey $$$)
In one form or another, we’re all probably dealing with some type of stress at the moment and the LAST thing we want right now is for our skin to be breaking out on top it. Another Neutrogena Hydro Boost product I love is the Water Gel moisturizer. Think of this as the instant quench your dry skin needs to look and feel smooth and supple all day. It has Hyaluronic Acid which helps reduce fine lines and lock in moisture. I use this day and night. (Affordable $)
Having moisturized your skin is one thing, but make sure you’re giving it the extra boost to penetrate the skin and help reduce wrinkles and fine lines. If you’re young, the last thing you’re probably worried about are wrinkles. But adding vitamin e oil a few times a week will have your skin looking youthful longer. I use The Body Shop’s overnight vitamin e serum-in-one oil and I love it. I apply it to my face and neck at night 2-3 times per week. (Affordable $)
