One of my favorite weekend activities is spending my morning at a local coffee shop. I like to study or work on my business in a warm and cozy atmosphere with fresh smell of coffee beans and soft music in the background. I’m an iced coffee kind of girl and since living in Detroit, I’ve come to know my go-to spots for my favorite coffee drinks.

Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Co.

If you ask anyone is the city what’s one of their favorite coffee shops, Great Lakes will definitely be on the list. The reclaimed wood furniture and unique bar backdrop has the ultimate vintage vibe. My go-to drink is the Iced Mocha. And their music playlist is the best!

The Red Hook Detroit

This cute and quaint coffee shop is located in the Indian Village neighborhood, right outside of downtown Detroit. I love riding my bike to the shop to see the pretty houses and visit other local shops. And the coffee is yummy!

New Order Coffee

You’ve likely seen this gorgeous new coffee shop on Woodward Ave in Midtown. The minimalist layout and hints of aqua is the perfect balance of clean and relaxing vibes for coffee with friends or studying with classmates. Hop on the Q-Line from downtown to Midtown to the most Instagramable coffee shop in the city.

Astro Coffee

I love this small, cozy cafe serving a variety of coffee & tea plus locally sourced baked goods & sandwiches. Located in the historic Corktown district causes for the perfect photo-op right in front of the buildings.

Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters

This downtown family-owned business has such a warm and welcoming environment from the time you walk in the door. The fresh smell of coffee beans and has the best view of Capital Park. In the winter months I’m here daily for the best hot chocolate.
