How many times have you added something to a shopping cart that you really love but don’t immediately checkout? But here’s the thing it’s completely normal. I am guilty of it too many times. I pick things that I like/love and let it sit for sometime. This way it avoids impulse shopping (which is the worse type of buying). So these Gucci mules just sits in my cart…and waits, and waits, and waits for a home. FINALLY I decided to give it a go and treat myself while in Milan, Italy. For starters they were still available in my size, which almost never happens.
It’s really important to give yourself time before making an expensive investment purchase. Yes, I’d say these are investment shoes because of the endless looks I plan to build around them. I don’t buy designer items every week, or month. I save up for them and treat myself for an accomplishment. Social media can glorify this luxurious lifestyle that everyone seems to live but honestly, that’s not my life. I buy things only I absolutely love.
I say this to point out that if you truly want something, work for it. Too often people try to compete with what they see others buying or doing, instead of running their own race. Buy what you LOVE and own it! My life is not all glamorous but I work hard to afford the things I have and I encourage others to do the same.
Some of my favorite mules out (affordable & splurge worthy)
What’s something you’ve been saving for? Aaaand, what are your thoughts on buying expensive things?
